Friday Favorites: November 21st- November 25th
I hope everyone had a fabulous turkey day!! Thanksgiving this year literally just came and went. It almost didn't even feel like Thanksgiving! And now I have to think about Christmas! *gasp* This year's T-Giving was not too eventful, which I guess is the downside to having a small family. We see each other all the time anyways. We went over to my grandma's for Thanksgiving lunch (cause she always wants to eat super early?) and weren't there too long since we are helping dog sit for a friend. Then, Jacob, myself, my sister and her boyfriend just hung out at our apartment, watched football and played some good ol' Cards Against Humanity.
Here's my Friday Favorites for this week...!!
1. Thanksgiving Food
I really enjoyed seeing all my friends Instagrams and Snapchats over Thanksgiving. It's so fun seeing everyone's families, their traditions, and of course, the FOOD! This year was the first year I was in charge of bringing a dish to our family dinner (I actually got stuck with two) but my mom finally gave me her mac & cheese recipe! I was darn proud of myself for how it turned out! Comment below if you want a future blog post on how to make my mama's famous macaroni and cheese!!
2. Cars 3
Disney/Pixar just released the teaser trailer for the new Cars 3 movie opening Summer 2017. But Lightning McQueen, NOOOOOOO!!! I can't handle this.
3. Ellen DeGeneres
Ellen is just...the coolest. What's not to love about her? All of her amazingness was celebrated on Tuesday when she received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest honor bestowed upon U.S. civilians, from Prez Barack Obama. To sum up the impact Ellen has made on our society, the White House says, "Ellen DeGeneres has showed us that a single individual can make the world a more fun, more open, more loving place, so long as we just keep swimming." Watch below.
4. The Edge of Seventeen
So while everyone else was watching Fantastic Beasts last weekend, I was watching The Edge of Seventeen....and it was SO GOOD! Is there anything Hailee Steinfeld can't do?? This girl is on fire right now!! This movie was just so relatable on a lot of different levels from high school crushes to heartbreak to first loves to sibling rivalries and more. It was dramatic and funny, and I really do think this is a must see for everyone! It also has 94% on Rotten Tomatoes, so there's that.
I am not the biggest Beyonce fan. Sorry not sorry. BUT this "Hamilton" and Beyonce/Destiny's child mashup is fiiiiyaaaahhh! Shoutout to the artists in this video who put this together because they are amazingly talented! Check it out! Sidenote: Can we just bring Destiny's Child back already?
