Fall Bucket List
I've always considered myself to be a summer kinda gal. In more recent years, however, I have come to really love the fall season, also known as "basic bitch" season. Why? Because I am so unapologetically #basic. We can't all be "bad bitches" like J.Lo. Instead, I am fully embracing my basic-ness, and I have put together a Fall Bucket List of all things pumpkin spice and UGG boot related.
Spice Up Your Life With a Pumpkin Spice Latte
Without question, the first thing I did this fall season was to go grab a PSL from Starbucks. The first day of autumn was marked on my calendar, and you bet I was sitting in that Starbucks drive-thru. So convenient, right? I have finally accepted the fact that yes, it is so much easier and quicker to just drive-thru and have them scan the code on my phone. 'Murica.
We can all use a little change of scenery from time to time, and for me the easiest way for me to delve into the new season is to change up a few things in my apartment. It doesn't have to cost a fortune either! You can pick up a few fall themed dish towels on your next Target run, or replace your peonies with sunflowers. My fave! This season I DIY'd a burlap wreath for my front door, and to be honest, I am quite proud of myself. Stay tuned to see how I made it!
Light it Up...With Candles
Nothing makes your home or office feel more like autumn than some scented candles. My current favorite is Autumn Sunshine from Bath and Body Works, which has a little bit of fir and a little bit of citrus. It is a perfect transition scent from summer into fall, especially since it is still 90 degrees outside here in SoCal. What is your favorite fall candle?
Explore a Pumpkin Patch
One of my favorite childhood memories was going to the pumpkin patch, picking out the most perfectly round pumpkin, and taking it home to decorate. It is just as fun going now as an adult and channeling my inner 8 year old. A lot of pumpkin patches also offer fun activities, like hay rides, spooky tours, and even petting zoos!
Get Lost in a Corn Maze
I've always had a fascination with mazes! David Bowie in Labyrinth anyone? Corn mazes are my jam and I seriously can't wait to go this year! Last year, we unfortunately couldn't find the last check point and had to get out when my boyfriend, Jacob, started getting itchy. (He's allergic to a certain part of the corn, but he is such a trooper). I am extra determined to get through the corn maze this year in record time. Lehhhgooo.
Walk It Out
It is starting to cool down...well, not quite in California yet...and it is time to get outside and enjoy some fresh air without sweating off all my makeup. Instead of sitting on the couch watching TV, why not go for a little afternoon stroll? Or take your workout outside of the gym? You will probably find me trying to find a pile of leaves to jump in while I'm at it.
What is on your Fall Bucket List this season?
