Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all had a fabulous week! My week wasn't too shabby with the highlight of it being The Bachelor...which is pretty sad. Normally, I talk a little bit more about my week and my life, but I really don't have too much to say this week. Even coming up with "Friday Favorites" was a little tough because the only thing that happened this week was America going, "oh, fuck" because we saw first hand that Trump's nominee for education secretary, Betsy DeVos, literally does not have a brain. Today also marks the first day of the Trump Empire, so there's that. On to Friday Favorites...!!!
1. "Paris" by The Chainsmokers
I have to give The Chainsmokers credit...They came out with that "#Selfie" song a few years back, and it was quite the risk considering it perfectly fits the bill for a one hit wonder. The song was kinda annoying, but super catchy, and we all hated to love it. That song put The Chainsmokers on the radar, and ever since then they have been putting out catchy hit after catchy hit. Their latest is titled "Paris," and while it will never have the same place in my heart as "Closer" it is still a fun listen. But first...
2. Ginger Emojis
In our society, red heads bear the brunt of a lot of jokes. They are made fun of a lot...as they should...just kidding! For real, I am all for equality and in the iPhone world people have made such a big push for emojis that represent everyone equally. And it is about time that gingers also get equal representation! There is an emoji meeting happening, and if this actually goes through this will definitely improve the flirting game for all the red head dudes out there.
3. Songs that Turn 20 in 2017
If this doesn't make you feel old, I don't know what will.
So we all know The Bachelor phenomenon that is Corinne. On this week's episode, we got a few more deets about her nanny, Raquel, whose duties include waking Corinne up, making her bed, brewing coffee, and slicing cucumbers for lunch. One of our fellow members of Bachelor Nation decided it was a good idea to create a GoFundMe page with the goal of raising enough money for Raquel to quit her job nannying for a psychopath. So far, they are nowhere near their goal of $100k. I actually think someone raised more GoFundMe money to buy Evan a new t-shirt, but it is funny nonetheless.
5. A Goofy Movie In Real Life
This video is actually not anything new, but I came back across it this week and I remembered how happy this video made me the first time I saw it. The songs just make you feel so happy! And I have to admit, A Goofy Movie holds a special place in my heart because when I was little I had a huge crush on Max. Yes, 6-year old Taylor had a the hots for a cartoon dog. Anyways, enjoy and happy Friday everyone!
